If you are looking for a place to learn about and practice Reform Judaism--a place that has a community of warm, caring, and intellectually-engaged people--you’ve come to the right place!

Temple Israel, this region’s largest synagogue, hosts an exciting spectrum of Jewish opportunities.

Temple Israel offers rabbinical services with Rabbi Jack Romberg; High Holy Day services; Torah study; Midweek Minyan on Wednesday mornings; Lunch and Learn on Wednesday afternoons; adult education classes for all learning-levels; adult Hebrew; life cycle events; Sisterhood; Brotherhood; social action and mitzvah activities; Distinguished Visitors Program, and a Jewish gift shop.

And, if you have children, they won’t feel left out because Temple Israel has a host of educational and entertaining opportunities for them as well: the Block Family Religious School (pre-K through 12th grade); preschool, youth groups, and youth nights events, to name a few.

Please contact us if you would like a tour of Temple Israel. And check out the website calendar for information about upcoming Shabbat services and other events and programs. If you’d like to just drop in, we welcome you to join our congregation for services: Friday evening services begin at 7:30 pm but the fourth Friday of every month services begin at 6:00 pm with a pre oneg at 5:30 pm ; Saturday services begin at 10:15 am; and Midweek Minyan is at 7:15 am on Wednesdays.

By joining Temple Israel, you not only become part of Tallahassee’s largest Jewish community, but you also have a chance to embrace a wealth of opportunities for personal, spiritual, and intellectual growth. Our rabbi, musicians, professional staff, and members are committed to making Temple an inviting and nurturing place in which members from a variety of backgrounds can comfortably come together to pray, learn, congregate, and feel at home.

Please join us for services, and consider joining our congregation. We look forward to meeting you.
