Shabbaton

Shabbaton is a full day celebration of Shabbat. We begin with breakfast in the morning and do not end until Havdalah in the evening. In between is a fun day full of activities for members of every age. Adults will be offered a variety of classes covering various Jewish topics. There will be special activities and sessions for families with children, and special activities for our youth group age children as well. You will experience a Torah reading and creative presentation like no other as some of our Temple Israel actors present a STorah telling. Of course there will be food, food, and more food.

Jewish Food & Cultural Festival

Finally, the worldwide tradition of Jewish Food and Cultural Festivals is coming to Tallahassee! Join us as we expand both your mind and stomach with Jewish food and culture. We will have Jewish Art on display and for sale at the event. We will also have an educational tour at 1 and 3 PM to teach you more about Jewish culture and traditions. We will also have traditional Jewish dancing lessons, and tons of fun for the entire family! You don't have to be Jewish to enjoy the festival and in fact we are inviting the entire community to come out and experience some of the best things Jewish culture has to offer.

Jewish Food & Cultural Festival takes place Sunday, April 10th 2011 10:30 am-5:30 pm at Temple Israel.
