Rabbi Steve Engel of Congregation of Reform Judaism in Orlando will be joining us the weekend of January 15-16th as our Scholar-in-Residence.

He will be leading a Friday evening discussion on African Americans and Jewish Americans in the 20th Century: A Story of Partnership and Parting. Saturday morning's Torah study (9:00 a.m. -10:00 a.m.) will explore what the Hebrew Bible tells us about healing and wholeness. Saturday evening's discussion will focus on the Power of the Word in Jewish Tradition. Saturday evening will be held at the home of Rosie and Todd Patterson. The discussion begins at 5:00 p.m. and will be followed by a covered-dish vegetarian/dairy dinner.
