A Community of Learning
A holy community of friends worshiping together, learning together, and doing social justice.

Shalom Aleichem and welcome to Temple Israel’s Education page.

One of the biggest strengths of Reform Judaism is its emphasis on informed choice. Through our Block Family Religious School, Family Education, and Adult Education programs, we provide the tools so that you can make those informed choices for yourself and your family. With a firm grounding in history and tradition, we find relevance and new meaning in our beliefs and practices, and we learn how our religion fits into our modern, culturally and religiously diverse society.
We foster an environment that encourages members of all ages to question, learn, and expand our individual and collective understanding of ourselves, our Jewish family, and greater community so that, together, we might pass on the rich heritage we have received from our ancestors; then, the chain will never be broken.
Learning opportunities offered at Temple Israel for children include our nationally recognized Pre-school and classes offered by the Block Family Religious School for pre-K-10th grades, Mid-week Hebrew and Youth Academy.  Adults may choose from a wide variety of learning options including adult education classes, an exceptional Distinguished Visitors series, and Outreach classes and programs.
We are excited and looking forward to a wonderful year! Join us, get involved, and let us know how we’re doing along the way. As your Team Ruach Coaches, we want to make sure every team member has a winning year.

B’shalom,

Jack Romberg                                                              Tanya Tamarkin
