Temple Israel’s Block Family Religious School

We use the CHAI curriculum created by the Union for Reform Judaism for Grades 1 through 5.  Grades 6 and 7 have a special curriculum of their own, with supplemental lessons from the CHAI program.

Attendance
Please make it is a priority to get your child to classes on time. Each class session is important, and regular attendance is the best way to set your child up for a successful and fun learning experience.

Worship Service Participation
Each class will participate in one Shabbat worship service. This is a required part of our Religious School curriculum.  If your child is unable to participate on the date assigned to his or her class, please contact the Cantor as soon as you become aware of the conflict and make arrangements for your child to participate with another class.

Sundays
9:30 am – 12:30 pm
PreK – 7th Grade

Wednesdays
6:30 pm – 8:00 pm
8TH – 10TH GRADE YOUTH ACADEMY
3rd – 6th Grade

Please supervise your child in the Temple if you bring your child to Religious School earlier than 15 minutes prior to when classes start.
We provide Supervision only 15 minutes before classes start and 15 minutes after classes end.

Electives - Students get to choose what elective they would like to attend for Religious School on Sundays. Electives usually change about every six weeks.
