Welcome to Temple Israel. We are so glad that you want to know more about our community, and we want to get to know you. Relationships are at the core of who we are as a center for Jewish community. We hope that you will be our honored guest in the coming days and weeks so you can experience the warmth, vibrancy and possibility of this congregation.

Temple Israel is the symbol of the ideals by which we say we live. Together we strive to fashion a tabernacle of kindness, generosity, of prayer and learning that nourishes heart, soul and mind. We also engage in meaningful action that brings more light into the world through the performance of mitzvot (commandments) and g’milut chasadim (acts of loving kindness). Temple Israel is a house of gathering where people come together to transform the world as it is into the world as it should be.

As the branches are intertwined on the roof of the sukkah, our branches, the individual souls, intertwine to create a sacred whole. Each branch is unique and holy, and all are welcome.

We hope our congregation will become your home, and we look forward to seeing you soon.

L’shalom,

Bruce Wiener, President
